Betta Tail Shapes
Bettas have been selectively bred and to create several distinctly different tail shapes.
| Half-moon: | The tail fin forms a semi-circle that is approximately 180 degrees |
| Double tail: | The tail fin is split into two and the dorsal fin is elongated |
| Crowntail: | Frilled, extended bristled rays |
| Veiltail: | The tail is asymmetrical, with only two rays |
| Fantail: | Rounded delta tail |
| Delta tail: | Sharp edges and has a tail span less than half-moon |
| Short finned fighting style: | Also called "plakat" |
